I finally made it back to Lake Powell. Matts family go every year but I haven't been since the summer before I had Sarley so it has been along time. I forgot just how much fun it is. We took Sarley and Tess and left Beau & Cali home with my mom, that made so nice.
During the trip we decided to make the 100 mile round journey to Rainbow bridge. I had never been there and Matt and his family hadn't been there in years. It is pretty neat to see. The boat ride was fun we stopped and swam and had ice cream at Dangling Rope marina. It was a fun day and I'am glad we decided to make the trip.
The rest of the trip we just sat on the beach and the kids swam back and forth between the boats, they loved it. It was great trip full of good food and great relaxing time. We even lucked out on the sand storms until the very last night, and man it was bad. It blew sand everywhere, which really was kind of a pain since we all sleep out under the stars on the beach. But we made it through and we had a great trip.
Looks like fun, Molly! We took our kids to Powell this year for the first time and had a great experience, too. Kids just love the water and the sand and of course the stars. :)
